We believe a landscape should be a living work of art. Like any outstanding painting or sculpture, an artful landscape should engage the senses, delight the imagination, have memorable focal points and be something of lasting and unique beauty. Because an individual landscape surrounds and embraces a dwelling or commercial building, it needs to complement and enhance that structure. Because it also serves as the outdoor living space for the residents, the landscape needs to reflect their interests, needs and sensibilities. And because a landscape is comprised of both living plants and permanent elements, it needs to be designed with future growth in mind.

At W. Christian Busk Landscape Architect Inc., we consider both the science of growing and the art of design. From start to finish, we take into account the personality of the client, the style of the home, the climactic factors and the uses to which the property will be put. This allows us to create a landscape of living, lasting beauty and practicality, one that is as individual as you are.

W. Christian Busk, our firm’s founder and principal in charge of project design and administration, is a licensed landscape architect (ASLA) with more than 25 years of experience. A native of Florida’s Palm Beach area, he attended the University of Florida, where he earned a BS in both landscape architecture and horticulture. His background and education give him a unique expertise in the art and science of landscape design/development, as well as a keen familiarity with what plants grow best in Florida’s subtropical climate.

Christian’s experience in designing tropical outdoor pool spaces is well known throughout Florida and in the Caribbean. He has led his company to win numerous awards for landscape design, from such groups as the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Florida Nurserymen & Growers Association, the Southeast Builders Conference and the Collier Building Industry Association. The firm’s outstanding work has been featured in such publications as Southern Living, Florida Architecture; Home and Garden; Gulfshore Life; Home and Condo; and Open House.

Christian Busk Landscape Architect Inc., the emphasis is on developing a landscape design to suit the client’s needs, enhance the physical structure and open the great outdoors to greater use and appreciation. Drawing on the strengths and expertise of our architects and designers, we create plans that develop vistas where they didn’t previously exist, focus views where they are wanted and establish a landscape rich in color and texture.
